KNEC stated that the teachers have until Thursday, 26th of February to make applications. Teachers will be posted to sub-counties under the supervision of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and Directors of Education.

Headteachers Not Prepared

School heads, though, gave concerns that learning institutions were not yet ready as many schools, if not all, do not have enough funds to purchase needed specimens and upgrade laboratories.

"We have not yet received the 25 percent capitation balance asper cented by the government. Schools may not be able to get the KNEC's specimen once they send us the list," Said National Chairman for Kenya Secondary

The Certificate Of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations run from 22nd to 24th next month while KCSE rehearsals will be conducted on 25th next month with the written exams set for the 26th of March to April 21st.
